This is simpy a mismatch from the get-go. Packer struggles mightily in a losing effort to gain mastery over her material. Her rhythm at Friday's opening night was halting, uncertain, grasping. Packer's labored attempts to affect Ivins' native Texas accent are snuffed consistently by Packer's own native Nottingham tones.
