Conductor Perry So to make Houston Symphony debut by Everett Evans

Long Yu, artistic director and chief conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra, has canceled his Nov. 27-29 performances with the Houston Symphony. Replacing Yu and making his Houston Symphony debut will be up-and-coming conductor Perry So, who served two years as associate conductor of the Hong Kong Philharmonic and recently returned to that orchestra as guest conductor.
