Mary Zimmerman, the bold Chicago-based director who once filled a Broadway stage with a giant pool for an adaptation of Ovid’s Metamorphoses (and won a Tony Award for it), is going back to sea this fall with a new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s pirate classic, Treasure Island.
