Alan Ayckbourn is to premiere his 79th play, Hero's Welcome, as part of the 60th anniversary season at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre that he used to run, and which has been the home for the premiere of most of his plays. He will also direct Scarborough's first revival of his 1974 play Confusions.
