A day after Broadway League executive director Charlotte St. Martin stated that the lights of Broadway theatres would not be dimmed in memory of Joan Rivers, representatives for the trade organization that represents theatre owners and producers announced Sept. 9 that the marquees of all Broadway theatres would go dark to honor the Tony Award-nominated actress and comedian.
