Producer Cameron Mackintosh announced Sept. 9 that the forthcoming West End return of Miss Saigon set a new record for the largest single-day ticket sales in West End and Broadway history. Since tickets went on sale at 10 AM Sept. 9, £4,402,371 ($6,920,248) has been taken in at the box office with £1.2 million ($1.86 million) of this amount from a single ticket agent.
