Loosely based on blond, finger-wagging TV personality Suze Orman, Dee Hoty's Eve -- a former waitress dumped by her man when she was eight months pregnant -- is as terrifying as she is mesmerizing. Her immaculate helmet of flaxen hair suggests the hard shell of a gorgeous, poisonous beetle. Or Tilda Swinton, if she were a vampire. The comparison is apt, as Eve is sucking the life out of her only child, Claudine.
