Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson, a musical passion project by writer Kathie Lee Gifford, will close on Broadway Dec. 9, its producers announced on Dec. 4. The biographical tale of McPherson — the famed American spiritual leader whose life was touched by sex, drugs, celebrity, mystery and romance — had been struggling at the box office in recent weeks.
