The West Coast premiere of David Henry Hwang's comedy of cultural misunderstandings, Chinglish, directed by Leigh Silverman, who helmed the Broadway staging, opens Aug. 29 following previews from Aug. 24 in Berkeley, CA, in a co-production by Berkeley Repertory Theatre and South Coast Repertory. The staging reunites the earlier design team and several members of the Broadway troupe.
