The West Coast premiere of David Henry Hwang's comedy of cultural misunderstandings, Chinglish, directed by Leigh Silverman, who helmed the Broadway staging, begins Aug. 24 in Berkeley, CA, in a co-production by Berkeley Repertory Theatre and South Coast Repertory. The staging reunites the earlier design team and several members of the Broadway troupe.
