New Girl in Town, Bob Merrill's 1957 musicalization of Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie, about a prostitute with abuse in her past, gets a rare New York City revival beginning July 18 at Irish Repertory Theatre. Margaret Loesser Robinson (IRT's Man and Superman) plays Anna, a role originated by Gwen Verdon, who won a Best Actress Tony Award for her turn.
