In the 1960s, three-quarters of a million children belonged to the Tingha and Tucker fan club to prove their allegiance to two koala bear glove puppets who appeared in an ITV show with Jean Morton, known to everyone as Auntie Jean. In the end, they received so much fan mail that ATV, which originated the show, had to close down the fan club.
