DC's Shakespeare Theatre Restores Much Ado's Character Names After Latino Artists Protest Rewrite by Kenneth Jones

The Shakespeare Theatre Company's conceptual new production of Much Ado About Nothing, which resets the action of the classic comedy from Sicily to a 1930s sugar plantation in Cuba, has raised the ire of Latino artists, prompting the respected Washington, DC, theatre to change one aspect of its revival in mid-run, the Washington Post reported.
