The Broadway premiere of Athol Fugard's The Road to Mecca, his three-actor play about an expressive, inspirational South African artist — and the forces that wish to quiet her and celebrate her — begins previews Dec. 16 in a Roundabout Theatre Company production starring Rosemary Harris, Carla Gugino and Jim Dale.
