In the musical, "Backwards in High Heels: The Ginger Musical" at the Asolo Repertory Theatre, co-creators Lynnette Barkley and Christopher McGovern examine Rogers' public and private life from the time she won a dance contest at age 15 to when she received her Academy Award in 1940.
